Kaplaaki has been uniting Industrial Engineering & Management students in Lappeenranta since 1974. Its vibrant history reaches back further than any other student organization at LUT University. Today, around 150 new members join Kaplaaki each year, making the guild one of the largest IEM guilds in the Nordic countries. With us, you can choose from up to six majors in three different cities.

A Kaplaaki member is recognized by their stylish dark blue overalls, adorned with three reflective stripes on the right leg—a symbol of high-quality education. The guild’s primary goals are to support members’ academic progress, advocate for them and organize extracurricular activities as a counterbalance to studies.
